blessings and gifts
All gifts are so appreciated, but if we had to choose,
we’d love for you to sow into our marriage through Zelle, Venmo, or Zola with
the fun cash funds we’ve set up.
Make sure you bring cash to the wedding because we will be doing the traditional money dance!

Thank you for your love!
this is our story
how we met.
Brittney was part of the “practicum” at Cottonwood College,
+ Jan Colby hilariously referred to her as “the intern”.
He was introduced to her as the creative lead when he turned around to quickly, but nervously, glance over + greet her. It was casual.
Brittney shared about her dance history + then the next week
he asked her to “chat.” Then Jan Colby began to recruit dancers for an upcoming project + invited her to dance in the Easter Production.
Brittney knew he was nervous. Jan Colby denies he was.
how we began dating.
They started chatting via Instagram — a modern love story.
Although Brittney was waiting for him to ask for her number,
he didn't, so she suggested they begin texting + shared her number. They texted on + off but then on April 15, 2021,
they finally went on their first date!
Spoiler alert: they successfully made it out the DMs
how he proposed.
Fast forward to November 13, 2022. Jan the man had a plan -
a ring and a proposal. He organized a "double date" at their regular
Tuesday coffee spot (88keys Coffee) with their friends. As the big moment was approaching, Jan talked about their love for the coffee spot + how they planned
and dreamed about their future together in that same spot where they were sitting. Then, he expressed his love and got down on one knee to ask Brittney, "Will you marry me?"
Spoiler alert: She said Yes!
